The beats are funky, the rapping is smooth and varied, and the lyrics are refreshing. Binary Star's first complete release is definately a good one.
The lyrics focus on political issues and at taking shots at the mainstream culture and rap artists. Whether it's an soul driven rap in "Slang Blade" or rapping over jazz loop with "Glen Close" Binary Star excels and doesn't miss a beat. There isn't a lot of over production on this ablum, it fits and definately has a more gritty underground feeling.
The only main problem with this album is that it can be hard to find. Other than that, for any underground fan, this is definately worth picking up.
