We here at Broken Spindle have been pretty busy as of late and haven't been updating as we normally had been. I do want to let you all know that I am working on a new layout scheme for the website and it should be quite a overhaul. It will call for reduced overall content, but should improve the quality and user interface. In the meantime, we will continue to spit out reviews as quickly as we can. Thanks!

Billy Corgan, the former frontman of the Smashing Pumpkins, has released his first solo record with mixed reviews. However, he did mention that he wants his band back again. There are strong indications that a Pumpkins reunion could very well happen. We'll just have to wait and see...

The electrosynth band is finishing up thier latest LP set for a Fall release and will then make a full North American tour before doing an extensive European tour! Stay tuned for more details...

Apparently Michael Jackson is not guilty of child molestation charges... but the real question which was still not announced ... is he black or white?

I dont know if I ever mentioned it before but we have had a few new writers in the past few months. First off is Marissa Logue of Pittsburgh. She has been writing with us for over 6 months now and has done a great job in the reviews she has done!

Secondly, I would like to mention our newest member, Brandon Savage who hails from Seattle. He has lived through many parts of the country, going to school at Syracuse, and then Gonzaga and now living back home in Seattle, so he's gotten a taste of different areas of music. He has already written a few reviews in his week's stay at Broken Spindle Online. Thanks!

And finally, I would like mention that remaining staff writers, Scott, Adam and myself will continue to write articles for this website.

First the Get Up Kids, one of my personal beloved bands, is calling it quits July 4th, 2005 as they'll play their final show in their hometown. The band is releasing one final record, a live album, and will do a final short american tour to cap off their impressive 10 year career which captured so many high school teens and emoriffic tunes.

UK's The Delgados are also calling it quits after their own 10 year career, following the recent announcement of their bassist leaving. The solid indie pop band leaves behind 5 solid records of great songs.
