Chapter 12: The month of August

OK, sorry for not updating this much, for those of you who actually read it, which I believe is very few of you. But anyways, August was quite a busy month. Saw the departure of a few good friends I've made here, the arrival of a few more, and a lot of long nights.

First thing, we saw the sad departure of Ros. Ros was the first person I hung out with here in Tsukuba. She moved back to England earlier this month, after 2 years in Japan. She was always fun to hang out with, and man, could she drink. I couldn't keep up with her. The last 2 weeks with her were tough, I just can't drink that much. So for the first two weeks of September, I've given up alcohol completely. Which well, we're almost finished with. I'll drink a little on my birthday.

We also saw the departure of Suz. Kinda. She just moved more into central Tokyo. So I still see her, I just don't work with her anymore.

Then we saw the arrival of Jon and Aodhan. Things were looking pretty down in Tsukuba in late July, with Paul gone, Suz down in Tokyo, and Ros on her way back to the states, but Jon and Aodhan have picked things up. They are fun, like to hang out after work. Good times. Oh and Jon is also a drummer, so me him and Steve have started a band. I really don't know what we'll sound like. Jon is more into metalish stuff, Steve is into experimental noise, and I'm into like, post-punkish new-wave stuff. But we all have a soft spot for electronic music, so we'll see. Should be interesting.

Oh and I saw Polysics in Tokyo the other night, but that gets its own post.
