They totally destroyed!!! I don’t even know what to say more than it was LOUD! Loudest show I have ever seen, and by a long shot – nothing even comes close. I have never, ever had to wear ear plugs to a show before, but they were handing these out the door with sign disclaimers saying THIS SHOW WILL BE LOUD. And they were right – even through the filtered ear plugs, the guitars and effects SCREAMED!
The WALL of Sound was redefined that night. I was at the giant Wamu Theater, an attachment of Qwest Field, and the whole place shook worse than any earthquake I’ve ever been in. You could feel the wind blowing from the monitors. How many Marshall Stacks did Kevin Shields have to his own? 6 full stacks and a handful of half stacks!
